I hope you had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to a Happy New Year.

Attached is the workshop list that will run until the end of March 2012. There are a number of new courses, including two new bags with Jean Turner, and new patterns from Betty Croke. We have tried to include more hand sewing, with some traditional appliqué, and Cathedral Window with Margaret Jenkins.

Bookings will be taken in person from 9.30am on Tuesday 3rd January, and then by phone from 11.30am.

We were conscious during the last booking process that we couldn’t take phone bookings at the same time as bookings from the people in front of us. I realize that this puts the people who don’t live locally at some disadvantage. However, if a course is heavily oversubscribed we will start a waiting list and try to run the course again before the end of March.

Last time we put on extra dates for three of the Courses, and hopefully most people did manage to attend the course of their choice. The Wednesday activity afternoons should now have more availability due to a change in arrangements.

All deposits from now on will be non-refundable and non-transferable, We are one of the few organizations that don’t ask you to pay the whole cost of the course upon booking, but we do have to cover our administration costs, which are incurred as soon as the booking is made. If we have to cancel a course due to bad weather or the unavailability of the tutor we will of course, refund the deposits.

We have had a number of concerns with parking recently, could I please ask you to park considerately. If there are two courses being run on one day, ie the Wednesday Activity days we have half an hour gap between the courses to allow a change over in the car park (and allow the tutor to have her lunch), please could you bear this in mind when arriving and leaving.
